Matthew Brook
Matthew Brook has appeared as a soloist throughout Europe, Australia, North and South America and the Far East. He has enjoyed working with many of the world’s greatest conductors including Sir John Eliot Gardiner, Richard Hickox, Sir Charles Mackerras, Harry Christophers, Christophe Rousset and Sir Mark Elder, and ensembles including all the major UK orchestras, the Freiburger Barockorchester, the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, Collegium Vocale Gent, the Gabrieli Consort, The Sixteen, Les Talens Lyriques, the Handel and Haydn Society, and Les Violons du Roy, Quebec. This season, Matthew sings Bach’s Christmas Oratorio with Orchestre National de Lyon, Beethoven’s Missa Solemnis with Coro e Orquestra Gulbenkian, the role of Christus in Bach’s St Matthew Passion at the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Haydn’s Creation in a return to Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal, Handel Odes with Orchestra of St Luke’s, and Tippett’s A Child of Our Time with BBC SO under Sir Andrew Davies.
